betterplace.org comes to the big screen. You can decide who wins!

In order to better capture impact measurement from betterplace.org projects, the betterplace lab team started a Video Contest a few months ago. What better way to gather real stories from the projects' on-site work, then through videos? We chose from hundreds of proposals in May and sent FLIP cameras from our cooperative partner, Cisco to 11 winners. With our guide of tips for producing good videos online, we set them loose to make their own films.

We asked the 11 participants to show us in their videos the successes and challenges in their projects and what they are doing onsite. After three months of film-time, we finally received (almost) all of the videos from the various corners of the world.

Now they're ready for viewing! We need you to help us in choosing the best one! You can find the 7 videos here. Each one is 2-3 minutes long. Grab a cup of joe, make yourself comfy and dive into the project film-reports from Africa, Latin America and Europe.

Which of the videos do you think is best? Which one deserves victory? Don't forget to cast your vote on the right hand column! Each vote counts. And if you are interested, check out the projects' betterplace.org sites to find out more about what the organizations are doing, to see photos, read blog posts and learn about their outstanding needs.

The more people who vote, the more obvious the choice will be!

This contest is also a chance for us to research if and how it is possible to use video as an innovational mover in the social sector. In a TED talk, Chris Anderson shared his interesting thoughts on that topic. Let yourself be inspired! In any case, the lab team is working on how to measure the impact of social projects with video or SMS feedback from beneficiaries. Help us in our goal and vote for the best FLIP video!
